Meanwhile, the word on the street has been that K12 was planning an exit from New Moyer. We'd argue that K12 is actually putting down roots and planning to stay. In fact, the Moyer Superintendent, Stephenson, is a K12 Employee/Consultant. And minutes of recent meetings regarding the New Moyer modification indicate that K12 is still deeply imbedded in Moyer - offering to fund the school's attempt to purchase it's premises and further offering to defer payments owed (to be paid from future budget surpluses) to ensure the school makes good on budget obligations hanging around from the 2012-13 school year.
If the stars align - K12 may be paving the road in for more CMOs.

Great reporting Elizabeth!
Lizzie,
Didn't I see Moyer listed as a property up for sheriff's sale? Did K-12 buy it at the sale in the shadow of a Wilmington law firm? Looks that way....
Well, I think it's fair to say that Rhodunda and Williams, while legitimate real estate attorneys, do not have one single piece of property titled to their law firm... and the mortgage history of these particular parcels is quite rich...
I think the odds are in your favor - K12 bought the parcels occupied by Moyer - which would explain the very cloaked language Moyer's rep's employed when speaking with the Charter Committee regarding their modification.
I wrote a comment on the NJ editorial today noting that they are holding back on information that we know they know because their reporters know it. But at least they are getting out ahead of this issue and pointing out that Moyer should be closed. The rules should apply evenly and fairly for all. No exception should be made for a Markell 'baby'.
