The deadline has come and gone. The Moyer wait is nearing an end, and yet, this one question remains: Did New Moyer purchase its' facilities?
The answer from Alison May (Kepner), DOE spokeswoman:
We received documentation from them regarding the purchase of the building. Staff is now reviewing it.
As of 7:55 am, New Castle County Recorder of Deeds and the NCCo Dept. of Land Use still show the property as belonging to Reinvestment II, LLC, the company that defaulted on the loans to the mortgager, Reinvestment Fund, Inc - two companies operated by the same principals out of the same address in PA.
If the purchase did occur on August 19, 2013, an expectation previously noted in Moyer docs submitted to DOE, the change in deeds and ownership may yet be in the pipeline of property updates to be made to the County databases. Thus, the lack of a status change to the NCCo websites is not an indicator that the real estate ownership has not changed hands.
The ultimate deadline still looms - Moyer's lease on the facilities it now occupies is set to expire on Sept. 30th. Something has to give this month or the school will be homeless.

Someone should call the Deeds office and find out.
