They are the Teachers and We are the Students

Update on Formal Review Decision
Efforts to combine with DAPPS have been redirected because prior Lease agreement that DAAPS has with its Landlord along with funding issues. Lack of interest in students enrolling in the school and other agreement made prior to this possible transitioning of the school’s.
Parents have been asked to find other suitable schooling for their student in light of these new updates.

It's been quiet on the PCHS front since the state announced it would provide a financial bail-out so that students could complete their school year as they had planned.  Maybe too quiet.  From the PCHS website, it's apparent that the board of directors has not and may not be planning to convene in May, although there are a couple days left for the BoD to post an agenda with seven days notice.
However, the March 27, 2013 meeting minutes do provide an update on the early effort by school leadership to transition interested students to and potentially merge with another Delaware charter school (above.)
On another note, PCHS has given notice on its website that access to pencadercharter.net will be denied after 6/9/2013.

It appears that PCHS will quietly close out the remainder of its school year. Yesterday was the last full day of classes, prom will be celebrated tomorrow, the school will host its end-of-year event for students on May 29, and its final graduation will be held June 6, 2013.

Yes, it seems that PCHS will attain closure in a much more sedate manner than it ever operated.  Its' students should be proud, they have fought and won, and fought and lost - and even though they were led astray at times by those adults who twisted the school into oblivion - the PCHS student body always fought for what they thought was right.
In the end, they are teachers and we are the students.
